I am very much looking forward to the weekend as my little sister is coming to visit and we are going to a little local festival type thing with lots of dancing and laughing and good times. Also me and Thomas now have one week off to move house finally!

I may be a bit absent for a week now due to no Internet and packing and painting and cleaning! but I should be pack on Monday with lots of fun pictures!

I am also going to be shutting my Etsy and Bigcartel for a week but when I reopen I will have lots of new bits! I am exited to show you, here is a sneak peek..

Can you guess who I have been inspired by?

I hope you all have great bank holiday weekends and that the sun in shining for you. Here are some lovely photography shots to get you in the summer mood..

Style Crush

I really love Zooey Deschanel.. I think since I saw her first in Elf! But recently I have been loving her in her band 'She and Him'. Sometimes it is a bad idea for actors/ actresses to go into music I think but I really like their sound. What do you think? xoxo

1) I love getting dressed up and shopping, but I don't follow trends. My style fluctuates: it's whimsical and feminine. When I was little, I was a really girly girl who didn't like to wear trousers. I just wore party dresses all the time with patent-leather shoes.
2) At school the kids wore hippy dresses from thrift stores, and people made their own clothes. I've always enjoyed wearing old-fashioned clothes. I try to do a bit of research before I travel so I know where to uncover vintage finds.

3) Know what suits you. Now I understand proportion and recognise the shapes that look good on my figure. I try to stick to classic pieces. I don't go to a lot of fashion shows or pay attention to what other people are wearing.

4) The red-carpet thing of premieres and parties is probably my least favourite part of my job. I do this because I love to act. All that other stuff may be glamorous, but glamour, by definition, is all just a circus.

5) You don't have to wear expensive clothes to look good. Growing up in Hollywood meant there were a lot of film stars' kids at my school – but no conspicuous wealth. It wasn't cool to show off that you had money.

Style Crush

I have always loved Kate Bush and always will, she is such an inspiration to me. Who are your inspirations?

Oh Thursday...

...afternoons in the office..taken with a John S lens, Ina's 1969 film and laser lemon gel flash...' for the Iphone'

I bought these glasses for Tom as he looks SO cute in big specs but I thought I would have a try before I hand them over.

In other news I found these amazing retro Kurt Geiger shoes in a charity shop yesterday! I am in love with them but unfortunately they are not in love with my poor feet :( xoxo

Wind is my...

..least favorite weather type.

Illustration inspired by the 'Junior Apprentice'
(I told you we love it!)

Young Hearts..

One of mine and Tom's favorite shows at the moment is the 'Junior Apprentice' (our favorite is Tim the " wind is not my favorite weather type" young farmer) It got me thinking this morning about young entrepreneurs in the creative industry...

Here are a few of my favorite young photographers (their talent is unreal!)

Firstly Nirrimi

Nirrimi is 17 years old but has been taking these stunning shots since she was 14 years old. She recently did a shoot for a Diesel campaign!

Her images are just beautiful and she is STUNNING to boot. She began shooting around the age of sixteen and has been experimenting ever since. She currently attends the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia where she will graduate with a BFA in photography in 2012.

And George Dowling

A sixteen year-old wanna-be fashion photographer, he has been shooting since February this year (2010) and is completely self-taught :)

Its people like this that make me SO inspired! (even though I am almost ten years older than some of them!) xoxo

Packing Packing Packing..

So yesterday we finally started packing (only a little) I suddenly realized I had forgotten to take any pictures of our flat when it still looked nice and not in boxes or a mess 'Doh'

So I quickly snapped up a few ..

The first thing I like to pack is my loveliest things, I like to look at them all together with their bright colours..they are also the first I like to unpack (after the tea set of course!)

Things I will miss about our flat is the odd shaped ceilings and cute floor windows (we are in a top floor attic-y kinda space)

I will also miss the view of the street below, it is perfect for people watching..

It is a little bit sad to be leaving our flat as it was me and Mr Quinn's first place together, but I am very much looking forward to having a house and all the memories we can fill it up with!

.. As you can see Tom finds packing very tiring! xoxo
