Kimber Kids were kind enough to send Wilf their new Bobbie Bear to test.
We have been lucky enough that my parents saved a lot of the toys from my childhood and so we have plenty of wooden and old Fisher Price pieces that I love. However Wilf doesn't actually own many soft toys so this was a welcome addition to his collection.
The Bobbie Bear is actually a sensory toy and speaks if you press its ear. It has three different voice recordings, one being a song and the other two engaging phrases. Wilf at first was surprised by the American voice (the only other two Americans he knows being his god mumma/auntie Joc and the lift in Urban Outfitters). However 'Bobbie' has quite a soft tone in comparison with a lot of 'speaking' toys I've seen, the only downside being Tom and I often spend the day with the song stuck in our head.
I tend to only let Wilf press the button and he worked out pretty quickly how to make him speak which I was impressed with, he also skips to the song which makes him grin and bounce.
Kimber Kids are British based company, and the 'Bobbie and Friends' range are said to focus on developmental and entertainment products for babies and toddlers aged 0-3. They are fun, engaging toys and have won the Creative Child Award in 2011 and 2012.
Bobbie is always one of the first toys Wilf pulls out his toy box which I think is proof enough that its the kind of toy little kids will love!

Adorable! I'm always on the look out for toys a little more 'unique' than mass marketed plastic, so will have to check these out!
