A Cosy Weekend

Thanks to (I presume) good old breastfeeding Wilf didn't have a single sniffle until he was seven months old. Then a few colds here and there..and then the last two months? Every other week it seems he has some kind of bug or is generally not himself. I know its great for their immune systems and I'm not a huge fan of over medicating but I have to admit the Calpol bottle has come out more than a couple of times in the last month or so.
This weekend we took it easy, stayed indoors and read books. Wilf has a new fascination with pop up and lift the flap books. Its so fun to see him gasp and giggle when he uncovers the picture below.
Lounge Lover a new affiliate of mine were kind enough to send me this top, its pretty much the comfiest thing I own and great for..well lounging!
As the winter evenings draw in there is nothing I would rather be doing than spending time with my loved ones, cwtched up, reading books and drinking tea. I even bought my favourite Green and Blacks hot chocolate the other day, something I only really indulge in once the winter is truly here and Christmas is round the corner. Its so odd to think this time last year I was 39 weeks pregnant, wondering when my baby would arrive and not knowing it was only a few more days until we got to meet him! We were blowing up the birth pool and setting up the Christmas tree. This time of year will be so special to me for many reasons.
(On a slightly different note this top is actually a fantastic nursing top. The layers really help with covering a wriggly and easily distracted baby!)

We've been having some cosy weekends too - what with freezing temperatures and snuffly babe.
How lovely to see him enjoying books so much - can't beat a good lift the flap book!!
Top looks lovely - the blue looks great against the red of your hair! x
