Our weekend in pictures

On Saturday we decided to get out of Bristol. Perhaps it was the fact that Wilf and I were cooped up indoors for a couple of days this week or that my little trip to Bath last Monday reminded me it's nice to step out of your hometown/city once in a while. I used to work in Bath years ago, I hated my job but always thought the City was beautiful. Bristol and Bath are so very close, and as we live by a train station it takes as little as half an hour from our front door to Bath Station.
Tom has only been to Bath once (at my leaving do) and only really saw a very small part of it so I it was a nice little day trip for us both. As it had about three years since I had been to the city I asked Twitter for some recommendation of toddler friendly things to do, the lovely Lia quickly came to our aid and said 'Parade Gardens', 'Lunch at Porter Bar - (a veggie pub)' and 'Vintage shopping at Wolcote Street' and so we did all three, or almost. Porter Bar wasn't opened by the time we wanted lunch unfortunately but luckily good ol' Wagamamamamamamama's was.
Wilf ate a crazy amount of sticky rice and noodles which isn't surprising considering the amount of toddling he had done earlier at Parade Gardens, I made a little video on Vine if you want to see.
Wilf was running properly for the first time and it was SO cute to see. Tom and he played chase in the almost deserted park before we headed off to lunch, Wilf was so pleased with himself he kept shrieking and giggling and all I could think was 'wow this is my family, I'm so lucky'
After our lunch we walked a little around the cobbled streets and stopped in at some great vintage shops and boutiques.
When Tom and I arrived back in Bristol we realised we had spent the day without any stresses or any arguments and even without anyone getting overtired or grumpy. We decided that Bath is probably the place where no one ever argues or feels stressed ;) If we win the lottery perhaps we will move there one day, spend our days in the spa and buying Marimekko kitchenwear from cute boutiques, ha!
Oh and if you want to see a raisin dance then click here (you wont regret it)

Yay-glad ye enjoyed your visit. We live just a few minutes from the yellow shop :) It is a wonderful city to live in-so walk-able and beautiful. Very different to my home in Ireland but a great home from home all the same :)

Yes, i can say that I never ever argue or feel stressed here ;) ;) That's possibly not entirely true, but it is a pretty awesome place to live! I'm so glad you had fun - you should come more often - maybe we should organise lunch at mine in the Spring with Nell & Abi too :) xxx

Glad you enjoyed Bath and how cute does Wilf look walking!!

Oh and there is indeed a place where all Bathonians will bicker and argue until the day is done. It's called Homebase. Me and Dan have had some doozies there let me tell you! ;)
