Vegetarian Step By Step

I was recently given two cook books to review from Parragon books. I always have this little day dream of me being the perfect cook with the spotless house and the child busy crafting away at whatever exciting craft project I had thought up that day. All the while being immaculately dressed and being able to keep up my part time job, illustration work and blog up to scratch whilst I replied to all the emails, tweets and comments in a timely fashion...then I remembered I am not a Stepford wife nor am a unhinged enough to think I can do even half on those things well enough to to attempt it all without going a bit nuts.

However, the feeling does take me at times to cook meals from scratch that doesn't involve pasta (yet again). This meal was made from Vegetarian Step By Step, the first thing that I loved about this book was the photographs, it is a very visual book and each step in recipe has a beautiful image to accompany it. I also really like looking at cookery books and saying to Tom 'mmm this looks like the kind of thing we'd eat doesn't it!' and then never making it ;)

I clearly have to work on my food photography but I can assure you this meal did taste pretty good, I even ate it for my lunch the next day too.

What is your favourite veggie cookbook? I think I need to add more to my collection!

I love recipe photos. It also helps when you know what you're aiming for :) Someone gave us a great vegetarian cookbook for Christmas. I've only made a few of the recipes because I keep making the ones I've tried over and over again. Unfortunately there's only photos for some of the recipes. Here's the Amazon link for it: http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Vegetarian-Kitchen-Nicola-Graimes/dp/1848990359/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1374179455&sr=1-1&keywords=new+vegetarian+kitchen
