Usually our morning consists of walking up early (like 5am early) Wilf likes to patter into our room around this time and I usually find myself waking up with a little visitor
I'm not going to lie, we don't actually get up at 5am. Pepper Pig is our friend for a good hour after that and then some. When we do finally rise I set Wilf's cereal at his table and set about stacking the dishwasher, putting on the washing and setting the kettle on the hob for cup of tea number two (number one is brought to me in bed around 6.30, my favourite part of the day).
This Sunday I brought my cup of tea into the living room to find my family like this, engrossed in their Dr Seuss books. I sat at the table (and after taking a few sneaky pics) just sat and took in the scene, my family.
The ordinary moments.
This post was inspired by the lovely Katie and her 'Ordinary Moments' linky. If you have not come across Katie's blog before then do go take a look, it's just lovely.

I love that he woke you up by pretending to be a lion, that so sweet! Your boys look like they were having a pretty good story time too, the perfect way to start the day.
Sounds lovely! Especially the cup of tea inbred. :)
Ah I love the last photo! Wilf looks so cute looking at that big book! x
Aw cute stuff but 5a.m.??!! Heck I was feeling broody today but that has squashed it! ;)
This is lovely Fritha, and I love Wilfs choice of book, it is one of our favourites here. We haven't read the other one. This is a really cute ordinary moment and one you will treasure- that's exactly why I started this little project. x
We haven't read any of the Doctor Seuss books yet, but both your men seem equally amused by them. In picture 2, I can't decided who is being read to ;)
Ahhh, thats lovely. I always love any moment when I find my children with their nose in a book. Both your boys look like they were enjoying their books. ;) x

Great pictures! I love to see kids reading! I grew up going on adventures every night, always with my nose in a book and think it is fast becoming obsolete!
Thanks for sharing a lovely post!
Great idea for the post - we always forget about this ordinary moments but they are so important
