Our Week in Pictures

After doing a lot of travelling last week we really needed to stay close to home and chill on our days together this week. As it happens a blogging friend of mine the beautiful Polly was visiting and it gave us a nice excuse for lots of tea drinking (the real and the make believe kind like in the picture above) and a chance finally to meet in real life! Can you believe how cute all these kiddos are??

On Tuesday an old friend dropped by for a flying visit, we had dinner together (Wilf too) until Tom came and saved the day by taking a overtired toddler to his bed and allowed me a little more time to gossip. I'm working on her moving here so I'll keep you updated on that one.

I must admit being off work and sneaking emails here and there on our trips last week meant I am really quite behind on all my various projects. I spent most of my nursery day on Tuesday feeling like I was trudging through treacle trying to get anything done. It's not a feeling I enjoy, I envision a fair few evenings in front of the laptop other the next little while, still I know I am lucky to work for myself so I'll refrain from grumbling too much.

I'm not sure if it's Mars in retrograde (look it up, it makes sense) but I've been feeling a little frustrated lately for no one reason I can put my finger on. I feel at times that I am plateauing and being a 'do-er' sort of person its making me a little upset. On Tuesday I had a short cry about it, had a cup of tea, told myself off and put it in perspective.

Hoping for more productivity next week mixed with more chilled days like this. Also Polly please come and live in Bristol too please?

Ah I wish I could blame it on that but I am just so lazy and unproductive all the time! I wish I was more organised! Gorgeous pics x

nice that you had a lovely time, but it totally sucks when you're behind on emails and such doesn't it!

A good cry is allowed now and then. Once it is out, you can put things in perspective and move on. Wilf looks like he had a great time with the big kids.

Looks like you had an awesome time! I will never tire of the Mshed! After our somewhat disastrous few weeks I'm really behind on everything and feel totally out of sync with everything, and it feels a little over whelming! Hope you get your motivation back soon!

Joining you in calling Polly to Bristol. Also, a cup of tea makes all things right. Sorry that you've been feeling that way. Sometimes I wonder if we hit these times of frustration and plateau before we start on a new stage of something, if that makes any sense.

Wow looked like you had a lovely time with Polly :) I know just what you mean about being behind and having to play catch up - ever since we moved house I can't seem to get on top of everything and it becomes not very enjoyable at all, but as you said if it allows you to stay home than it's better to look on the positive side and not complain too much

Looks like a wonderful week. So nice when you can meet blogging friends in real life! And I love Bristol, I used to go down there a lot for work. I miss it. x

Looks like everyone had a lovely time - and Polly looks gorgeous, such great hair! I agree completely about being frustrated - I seem to be constantly chasing my tail at the moment; blog posts, copywriting work, crafting, the garden, batch cooking and then the kiddos - someone needs to invent a longer day!
