Most of our books are passed down from my childhood so there is a heavy load of nostalgia with most reading sessions in our home. What I find even stranger is most of the books from my childhood were pre-owned, so it's remarkable really that they have lasted so many generations of inquisitive children.
My brother and I owned most of the Usborne Starting Point series and as he has a little girl just 7 months younger than Wilf we have each inherited half the collection for our children. I laid claim to the top two which I remember reading over and over, however reading them now to Wilf I've realised I am learning some of these facts all over again! To be honest they are a little advanced for a two year old but I don't really see any harm in explaining these things to him now, even if I just see it as preparation for that 'why?' stage that is sure to come soon.
Did you have these books as a child? What are you reading right now?
What are you reading this week?
If you fancy linking up them just mention me in your post and will pop all your lovely pictures on my Pinterest :)
