Tigerlilly Quinn: ice pops with an extra something something

ice pops with an extra something something

Here's a little thing about me, I'm not crazy about ice-cream or ice-lollies.

It probably means I'm really dull or something but I can't even really remember loving it as a child. I'll eat it if it's a sunny day and other people are buying them too (I hate to be left out), but it's never something I've hankered after on a rough day, or eaten out of the tub when broken hearted.

Recently Wilf and I have been making ice pops out of fruit (an idea at first to get him to eat the mango that came in veg box and I didn't know what to do with). I've also made some with kiwi and grapes which I thought would result in something Pinterest perfect but ended up being something neither of us liked much.

I've realised now what I probably need to enjoy ice lollies is a bit of an extra something something. Here are a collection of some great ones I'm hoping to experiment with in the future.

Pinot Noir ice pop via Cosmopolitan . On second thoughts I'm not 100% about this one but worth a try right?

What do you think? Alcoholic ice pops for you or not?

These look amazing, especially the basil and gin ones, I'm definitely going to be trying those...just have to be careful not to mix them up with Theo's!

Fritha I am SO with you on that - never really liked iced anything apart from cold drinks. But maybe a bitter, lemony, tequila-ish lolly would change my mind!

Gin ice pops sound like a winner, but I'm not convinced by the idea of red wine ice lollies, bleurgh. x

Wow amazing idea! I've got a book of ice-lolly combos that I'm planning to practice with this summer, not sure if it has an alcohol section but I will be ditching it in favour of these if it doesn't!! x

These look so delicious! Nothing better than a cool ice lolly on a hot summer day. i reckon the alcohol ones would be perfect to have at a summer picnic with friends. x

Mmm, I'm not always one for an ice lolly but will try the gin ones on a hot day. The watermelon ones look cool! Last Summer we had cider ones a few times. :-) x

I really love the idea of these - perfect for summer and I mean why not, although better make child friendly ones as well otherwise the little man would not be too impressed.

They all look and sound amazing to me! I can't for summer to appear so that I can test them out. I recently made Spring Jars ( yoghurt and fresh fruit blended together and then frozen in cute jam jars).

Those sound amazing, like you I'm not usually fussed about ice cream, the only time I really fancy it is when I'm pregnant. I do like the sound of the first ice lolly though.
