Our Weekend in Pictures

This weekend we decided to head to Cardiff for a little day trip. It's super quick and easy to get to from Bristol and living by one of the city's trainstops means we don't even have to go the main station, just tumble out of bed and hop on the train! We really should try and visit more often.

We met up with some friends and had lunch in one of the nicest veggie cafes I've been to in a long time. It even had this cute yurt in the garden!

^^ I had the battered halloumi mmm if you are in Cardiff, do check out Milgi's! ^^
I placed an order with 'we love colours' the other day as part of my ever growing search to find good tights..I'm impressed! Our push-chair is an Ooba and is ℅ of Cosatto (review coming soon!)
^^That awkward moment when your friend and your toddler are wearing the same coat ;) ^^

On Sunday we headed to a local-to-us park for some coffee and brioche whilst Wilf ran about and we enjoyed the sun! Tom and I keep saying we should make more of an effort to stop eating so many sweet treats everyday (really we do!) but yummy food (cake!) is one of the greatest pleasures in life isn't it?

Lately we started getting a veg box and fruit box though so we are at least eating a lot of fruit and veg daily too..I'm telling myself that kind of cancel's it out, right? My problem I think is I really cannot find an exercise I can really get 'into'. Any recommendations?

And so ends another weekend with my little family, really looking forward to the long Easter weekend!

Oo I used to love Milgis, many a night spent in that yurt drinking cocktails! What a difference between the weather at the weekend! Hats and scarfs on Saturday and no coats on Sunday! Sounds like a good weekend!

Looks like such a lovely weekend. Even though I'm in Bristol too we never seem to venture as far as Cardiff - that veggie cafe looks bloody lovely though! Just found your blog and lovely as a mum to be (eek!) to see what kinds of child friendly activities there are in the area!

soon as i saw that yurt i knew it was milgis! used to love going there (the food is yum) but we were shunned once too many times by the staff and had orders completely forgotten about, which sucks as it's so close to where i live.

Your coat!!! I really don't need any more coats, but that one is stunning! And I love halloumi {and cake!}

The fried halloumi looks delicious! I've had always wanted to try doing halloumi on the grill, but have never gotten around to it - maybe this summer! And a big YES to the fact that sweets make life better! We always have baked goods of some sort in the house - I ease the guilt by making them myself from scratch with organic ingredients, lots of healthy additions like nuts and flax, and reducing the sugar.

Wow look like a fun weekend! Also loving the matching yellow coats, your friend has great taste. I've never thought of Cardiff as a place to visit but maybe we'll rethink that! x

Beautiful photographs. We are having a similar conundrum, but for us it wine, not cake, that must be cut back on. And hot cross buns probably too. But then what is left to enjoy?!

Had to smile at that gif! When I saw the pics, I instantly got envious that you'd stayed the weekend in a yurt but now I'm thinking we must go check out that cafe! Looks like an amazing weekend. A real feast for the eyes. I don't know why we haven't gone to Cardiff more, really.

What a lovely weekend. I can't recommend any exercise, I get as far as watching a keep fit dvd, but never actually do them!
