Our weekend in pictures

We spent our weekend in Bridport in Dorset which is Tom's hometown. We often say how lucky we are that Tom grew up somewhere so picturesque for us to visit, it has that lovely village-y feel to it whilst having lovely cafes, vintage shopping AND the seaside just down the road. Kind of perfect really, I've grown up in a variety of cities, towns and villages and I have to say I am a city person for sure but it's great to escape to the countryside once in a while.

Very image heavy post so click before to read on! (it will be worth it promise!)

^^ see told you it was worth it, that little boy of mine..p.s thank you to Lindt for the bunny and all the chocolately goodies sent over! It served us for three separate Easter egg hunts and we still had more to share!^^

The weather was so lovely, we were able to walk around in our cardigan's until the rain poured all of Sunday. Thankfully Wilf has a granny more than happy to play endless jigsaw puzzles with him!

I picked up a couple of things from the market stalls and vintage quarter which I'll get round to sharing with you soon I hope. I've got a post in my drafts from over two months ago starting to record my charity shop finds but I never get round to publishing it. When I do it will seem like the greatest haul ever!

The only time I ever wish I drove is when we find bargains we just cannot take home with us. We saw at least three dressers (for only £45!) that I could have happily claimed, then again we would need a whole new room of our house to keep them in. I'm learning to try and appreciate beautiful things without wanting to own them…kind of..

The dress is from my shop and is on sale for £14.99

I use *RedLab to edit all my photographs

It does look like a lovely place to explore. I love vintage things for the home too but even with a car you can't fit in everything!

Ahhh, it looks like an absolutely lovely place to visit and explore. And it sounds like the perfect way to spend an Easter weekend. x

I was going to say I loved your dress! I'm only 5.4 though so it would end up mid calf on me which would look silly as my ankles are grossly skinny! I have such a problem getting dresses to fit me! Looks like a great weekend, I love Dorset xx

Amazing place and pics! thanks for sharing more than usual, loove to see them. The vintage shop seems seriously amazing, and 45pounds dresser! oh! that is tempting. We are planning to add only rural towns to our summer Welsh trip, so this makes me dream about it, Dorset would be an excellent place though (next time!). We were in Somerset and Wiltshire like three summers ago and I fell in love!
