A collection

When did he become a teenager??

It's another one of those posts where I suddenly realise I have a whole bunch of pictures I wanted to share but never really fitted into any one particular post. I sometimes love these the best as it shows little snapshots of our lives in a different light.

One of things I have loved since becoming a blogger (four years ago now) is taking time to appreciate the smaller beautiful things in life. The dew on your wellies after a morning visit to the park (collecting leaves) or just how orange that blossom by the gate really is. I'm not saying people who don't document their life don't notice these things (of course!) but it's nice to find one of these pictures on your camera/laptop/phone a few weeks later and think 'oh yes! that was beautiful!'.

This is an image heavy post so click below to read more

The past couple of weeks have been really busy with a couple of very exciting projects I really can't wait to share with you all! I'm still bowled over with the fact that so many of you come back again and again to read about our little life and so thankful too!

Sometimes I wonder just how interesting these posts can be, a trip to the park, a cafe date, gushing about the love I feel for this little boy of mine. Then the other day my friend Katie reminded me just how wonderful it is to be doing this, documenting our lives together. It's a relief to know that if anything happened to me, Wilf could look back on this blog and know just how much he is loved and how every day being is mum is such a blessing.

Oh I love the images, not enough, they are a great source of capturing those times and the beauty. I love the bar scene, reminds me of Irish pubs when I was younger.

Lovely photos. Since I began blogging I take so much more pictures than before. I love that it has spurred me on to document the everyday moments not just the big events. As you say, it's a wonderful way to document your lives x

I started blogging so the kids would have somewhere to look back if anything happens to me. I'm so glad I did because even now, just 3 years later, I love looking back and seeing things I otherwise wouldn't have given a second thought to!

Lovely photos and this is exactly the reason I started blogging. It is great to look back at everything we do together, even if it isn't particularly interesting for anyone else!

The shot in the pub is gorgeous. You're right, sometimes the most minute details of our daily lives can be the most beautiful.....

I ponder that question - should I be sharing all these photos of my daughter? Should I take pictures that don't include her face? When she is older, will she be upset that I posted her for all the world to see. But my response is, that is gives family members who live far away a chance to see her on a daily basis, so I'm doing it with good intentions.

Wilf looks SO grown up all of a sudden! When did that happen? Isn't it funny how you still think of them as babies but they're mini people now - eek x.

I was always hugely into photography, and studied it at college (when we learned with manual SLRs, film rolls and enlargers!), but since becoming a blogger, I've fallen in love with it all over again. I know exactly what you mean about documenting the little things, I seem to take pictures of everything! I love the photo of Tom and Wilf leaning against the bar - like a little glimpse into the future of father-and-son evenings in the pub! x
