I was recently sent these iPhone KLYP lenses from Manfrotto to review. I was really interested to test them out as I tend to use my phone a lot with day to day photography but do really enjoy the difference lenses can make to me DSLR photography

I already have a portrait lens for my digital camera but often times it's not hugely practical to carry it around all day. It's one of my favourite type of lenses though so I was interested to see the results via the iPhone lenses. The other two lenses that came with it were a landscape lens and a fisheye lens. I've wanted a fish eye lens for a really long time so I was quite excited to see the results. Here are some example of shots I took with each lens:
portrait lens
fish eye lens
Landscape lens
I wasn't expecting to like the results of the landscape lens quite so much actually and I think it is so far my favourite lens. I think I really need to experiment with the fish eye lens and work out what shots it will look best with and how to frame them a little better but they do make for some shots.
What I really liked about this kit is that unlike some magnetic lenses I've seen on the market this comes with a case that you can clip to your phone and then screw each lens in. You can have to be super careful with the other lenses are they of course really tiny. The set comes with a little bag to keep these in but if you are anything like me I'd probably recommend just going out with one lens and keeping it attached to the case to avoid losing them.
If you are not a fan of the black frame around the images then you can easily zoom in on the screen with your fingers or simply crop them out afterwards. I think they look really cool on the fish eye pics but decided against them on some of the portrait or landscape shots.
I'm always really amazed by the photography you can do nowadays on camera phones. It's weird to me that even four years ago I had a phone that couldn't display pictures and now my phone can perform way better than the digital camera I had at the time!
I was sent these lenses to review but all words, thoughts and photography are my own

I've read a lot about iPhone lenses, but haven't actually committed to any - I'm too scared I'd break them! The one of Tom with the portrait lens is great, really sharp - I think that's my favourite of the three x
I love the last photo, it looks so retro! :)
Jess xo
Ooh as some one who doesn't have a DSLR but has just upgraded my iphone, this definitely interests me. I love that last one of Wilf too.
These lenses are a fantastic idea and I love that they're not magnetic like other ones x
I think the landscape is my favourite too and the case that enables you to screw them on is a great idea, I wouldn't trust magnetic ones! x
Oh they look like fun - I love the effect you get with the fisheye, and it's amazing how much you can suddenly fit in the screen with the landscape one. It sounds like a great idea to have them actually screw into the case too - I'd always worry about a magnetic one getting knocked off in my bag.
Ooh these do look fun! I've always loved the fish eye lens look and might have to try these out x
me neither I would totally loose them ;) x
wow I'm super impressed with your pics without a DSLR I always thought they were taken with one! x
yes the fisheye is really fun for a different effect. Not one I'd want to use all the time but makes for some interesting pics! x
OOh I was wondering about iPhone lenses I would love some
I'm the same - I've been desperate for a fish-eye lens for ages, and a cheap(er) one for my iPhone might be a lot easier than upgrading my Digital camera to cope with one. They're still a little pricey though... the question is, do I want one THAT much?! :)
I love the landscape lens, but I am not keen on fish eye. It makes me feel all strange!
I bought a couple for my iPhone from Ebay. I wanted a macro one which is why I bought them but I've not been able to get any good macro photos with my phone. I miss my digital camera. It was only a point and shoot but had more settings than I have now. Unfortunately I dropped it and it wouldn't work anymore :(
I wish samsung did great things like this. I quite like all of them xx
WIsh I had these for my samsung!!
What a great little gadget! I would love to try them myself, I'm like an addict - love taking pictures with my iphone!
What an interesting idea - I really like the look of the fish eye just for novelty but can see that it wouldn't be all that beneficial really.
What a great idea - I love the fish eye lens - so much you could so with that. x
I'm planning to get my very first real DSLR camera! I'm so looking forward to it and it's so exciting to read about other people trying out different things with their cameras!
I love that portrait lens first pic of Tom. It looks like it gives the blurred bakground slightly like a prime lens would? x
