We gave up terrestrial TV when Wilf was born, mainly because I had spent most of my pregnancy watching some terrible terrible shows. I'd like to say the worst thing was getting addicted to 'I didn't know I was pregnant' but I even started watching 'Toddlers and Tiaras' so I knew I had to stop.
We decided to cancel our TV licence and instead get a Netflix account. I found that instead of getting up and sticking the telly on I wasn't even thinking about it until Tom came home from work. Then we would tend to watch one to two episodes of a box set or a film before bed. We got our account just as Breaking Bad first came out and so were as hooked as the rest of the nation seemed to be. Since then we've never gone back to 'live' TV as such and have found that having an Netflix account has always been enough, especially as we only tend to watch 1-2 hours of TV a day.
I recently became part of the Netflix 'steam team' so I'm hoping to share with you some of our finds for the month. Tom and I watched 'Populaire' just before our Paris trip and I loved it. It's one of those films that make me want to be the lead character, and move to France..and compete in a typewriting competition...you know?
Any you would recommended we should watch?
