I've been visiting my family home these past few days as they prepare to move away from the area of Aberystwyth. I was 13 when I moved from England to Wales and it was a rocky road adjusting to my life there. I have lots of mixed emotions about the place despite its beauty, there are so many great memories and equally some pretty tough ones. I don't tend to visit that often, in fact it has been two years since I've been last and this time will be my last ever visit I would imagine.
Returning now as a mother with my son feels very different, knowing that I am so very secure in my life now helps heal old wounds I think. I'll write more on the subject I'm sure.
All that being said Wilf has been having a blast! We don't get to visit the sea much so he has loved every second by it and has ignored me for the most part whilst playing with my dad and brother (who is 15 years younger than me). I've been making sure to tick off my list some of my favourite places and over the weekend we rode the cliff railway up Constitution Hill and rewarded ourselves with cake at the top (of course!). These pictures were taken by my dad as I carried him when his little legs were getting tired from all the running around. Simple ordinary moments that I'm glad were captured.
