I'm guessing you now kinda get the gist with my feelings on my parents leaving the place I grew up from these posts. I don't really have much to add but wanted to share my last pictures with you.
My family have settled in their new home in Kings Lynn. My little brother has never lived in England before, nor has my little sister who is off to uni in September (which is crazy to me).
I'm excited for their new adventures in exploring Norfolk and I'm excited to go visit a new area of the county to me too. Everyone I've asked has said its a great place full of good food and coffee shops (which pretty much ticks all my lists..add a vintage shop or two and I'm happy). Any of you have any recommendations about places in Kings Lynn to check out? I'd love to pass them on!
Also my sister is off to uni in Manchester so recommendations there would be fab too, especially of the vegan variety.

Lovely post. Such an adventure for them all! Sometimes it feels that England and Wales are really similar then other times it feels so different! I am now back in Wales but went to Uni in Manchester! I loved it so much! Lots of vegan places, 8th Day Cafe was one. Also she will love Afflecks Palace! I need to visit there again! :-) xxx
I just had to google where King's Lyn was, Norfolk is pretty much the only county I've never lived in! My brother is starting uni too, well he has deferred for a year but he should be going, it feels really weird! Love the photo of your dad balancing a rock, it made me laugh as Matt is obsessed with balancing things! x
Great photos the beach shots are beautiful. x
More beautiful pictures. Love your posts xx
I think your parents will love it there; it's perfectly placed for exploring north Norfolk and having holidayed near there four years on the trot I can safely say it's ace. I'd get planning your next visit to stay with them soon if I was you xx
Great picture of Wilf in the sand!
As an expatriate Mancunian, and an ex Manchester Uni graduate, I can promise you that your sister will love living in Manchester, as a vegan, and as a human. As Ian Brown famously said, "Manchester's got everything, except a beach". For that, of course, you have Aberystwtyth.
wilf is looking so grown up! most of norfolk is really lovely, so i am sure they will enjoy it!
Always love your photos, especially where you stand near but not right next to your children, at a distance - unusual! Always wonder if that's a throw back to old family photos?!
Gorgeous pictures, Wales is so beautiful, there are some lovely bits of Norfolk too though :)
ah that's great to hear! I saw that quote in the Manchester YH (which was lovely btw!) when I went with her to see the uni. Which was funny as they'd make a pretend beach just across the river at the time! x
thank you! x
yay! So exciting! x
thanks so much Heledd! x
thank you! x
I did too when they told me! feels so weird doesn't it, when my little brother goes I think I will weep! and I know..men! x
I know what you mean, sometimes it really is quite the culture shock even though they are so close. Thats ace, I can't wait to visit some of them with her! x
thanks Kate, really looking forward to exploring it with them x
ah yer! I never really thought of it that way! x
Such beautiful pictures, I'm excited for all the new adventures you'll have visiting your folks. x
Oh such a wonderful collection of beautiful photos - love the one of you and Wilf outside the bandstand. I can only image this was a sort of bittersweet parting but how exciting to now have somewhere new to explore :)

What a beautiful place to live.....I am sure you can go back and visit
Absolutely gorgeous place to live. And a lovely goodbye to it. Love all the photos. You will have a new place to visit and make great memories with your parents now!
Stumbled upon your blog in a round-about way through Pinterest. As an Aberystwyth resident I loved these pics - and all of your blog!
thank you so much Val!
