The other day Tom came home with a vintage bike for me. I haven't had a bike since I was a child and the holiday we took a few months back was the first time I'd ridden one in a good 15 years. I'd forgotten what a lovely freeing feeling cycling is and it made us talk about getting bikes each so that we take family bike rides on the weekends. With Wilf in a child's seat of course (not sure Tom could deal with dragging a trailer around like we did at Bluestone, although he said it was a pretty good workout!).

A local vintage shop was closing down and on his way home for work Tom saw this lovely thing going for sale. It needs a bunch of work, its super rusty with a flat tire and in dire need of a paint job but I think I can make her pretty again.
Eventually I want her to maybe look a little like this..wouldn't that be amazing?
Coincidentally Vitamin Water are currently running a Build a Bike campaign. I was asked if I'd like to check it out so we headed to our local supermarket to see what the deal was.
Don't drink's aisles always look so colourful? I have to admit we did struggle a bit to find any Vitamin Water in our smaller local stores, finally we found it in the large drinks section of 'big' Tesco.
Always try and match your drink to your outfit I always say ;)
So here's the bike I created..not loud enough you say? I mean at least no one would steal it, can you imagine a teenage boy wanting a bike this colourful?
As well as entering you into the comp to win your own designed bike you also get 25% off a Quella bike with every entry. They are pretty beautiful bikes even if you might get called a hipster.
Let me know if you enter I'd love to see what bike you design!
