Eat a banana before bed - stops restless legs (allegedly!), a hot water bottle for my cold feet, and put all phones, tablets, ipods out of reach - then snuggle down and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I am hoping to read some good tips left down here because I suffer from insomnia and rarely get more than 4 hours a night! I don't have trouble falling off to sleep though - I find turning off all technology at least 45 minutes before going to bed helps because it gives my mind a chance to wind down. A nice book and usually tires my eyes.
I've found that switching off my laptop, phone etc an hour before I go to bed let's my brain unwind before going to sleep.
relax and read a book before you fall asleep
It's all about a good evening routine IMO! Winding down and a decaf cuppa x

Clean linen, no technology and a nice candle!

We sleep with the window open, make the room as dark as possible, and have no technology except for the radio alarm clock!
My tip on getting a good night's sleep would be cotton pyjamas - always! Even during the winter months. On that note, changing your duvet to a season appropriate thickness - there's nothing worse than being stuck with a 13.5 tog duvet in the summer!
Ensure you're as comfortable as possible and you are at a good enough temperature to sleep. Also just keep flipping that pillow to get to the cold side until you forget and you fall to sleep.
