Wilf last halloween, just a little bit cute right? I'm gutted it won't fit him this year.
Halloween
is the perfect time to try your hand at crafting. It won't come as a
huge surprise that Halloween costumes for children can be expensive,
ranging upwards of £30 - unfortunately, as kids grow so do their
likes and this normally means more money. It’s doubtful they will
still fit into their costume from last year, and even if they do
would they want to be the same character two years running? So, how can you save money and still ensure your little
ones have a great time this Halloween? Make a costume yourself!

You
don’t need to be a skilled crafter or seamstress to create simple DIY
costumes which cost little to make. There is a DIY costume for all
ages, from classic costumes such as ghosts and witches or trend heavy
costumes such as Elsa from Frozen (I think this would be wilf's choice!). You can find some costume inspiration over at Morph Costumes, I like the Buzz Lightyear one and the Lego one!
Famous
for its all-in-one spandex costumes, Morph Costumes has recently
launched ‘Morph Famous’
the world’s largest costume design challenge in the lead up to
Halloween. Designed to make one costume enthusiast ‘rich and
famous’ and to also discover some of the best hidden design talent
across the world, the
winner stands to pocket $10,000 as prize money.
Budding
designers can submit entries into a number of different categories
throughout October on the Morph Costumes website, with the public
being invited to show their support and vote for their favourites. A
shortlist of the 10 designs that receive the most votes will be
announced just before Halloween and the winning design will be chosen
by a panel of judges just before Halloween on 27th October.
Gregor,
co-founder of Morph Costumes, said: “We started off five years ago
with five plain coloured Morphsuits and can now boast some of the
most innovative costumes on the planet”.
The
inspiration for Morph Famous came from years of costume fans sharing
their design concepts on the company’s Facebook page, home to over
1.4 million fancy dress fanatics. Last year, a passionate Morphsuits
fan called Kyle
created a design using a white Morphsuit and posted it on the
Facebook page – one year later, Morph Costumes worked with him to
create the design
and it’s now available to purchase worldwide.
So
what are you waiting for?
