A ceremony and a stay at the Citadines

The past month or so has quite frankly been a little crazy. I'm finding myself not knowing what day it is or even what month it is. I know I am so lucky to be leading this life I have though so it's not a moan so much, more of a 'where's my head?' kinda state of being. You're probably a bit sick of me staying that so I will endeavour to be a bit more together going forward..not promising anything though ;)

My blog was shortlisted in the Amara blog awards under 'best fashion inspired' (thanks again so much to anyone who nominated me!). So on Wednesday myself and my pal Lori (who was up for 'best design inspiration' blog took at trip to London to attend the night.

Before we headed out. We were a little pushed for time but we managed to quickly get out outfits together in under half an hour (which I think is pretty impressive)

A shot from the night of me and Shaneen from Breath Happiness who were also up for 'best fashion inspired'. It was lovely to meet up with some of my blogging friends I'd not yet spoken to in 'real life'. Even if Hayley from Breath Happiness was shocked for most of the night that I'm not American ;)

In case you are wondering my dress is from John Lewis, my clutch is this one from Monsoon (I wore at my wedding also) and my boots are from Boden

We were offered a night in the Citadines apartment in High Holburn and it couldn't have been more convenient. I actually didn't think to look up how close it was to the award venue (The Rosewood) but upon leaving our apartment that evening and checking on my phone..we realised we were literally across the road from it! Which was perfect good luck considering how little time we had to get ready and get to the event (I'd had to drop Wilf off at nursery quite late that day and so we only arrived in the late afternoon).

Tom and I had actually looked at staying at one of the Citadines as a family friendly option for staying over in the city. It's perfectly set up for self catering as well as having all the amities you'd expect from a hotel stay.

After our evening out it was a brilliant base to return to and drink our tea in our beds and chatting  about the night that had been. We both had press days to attended first thing in the morning before returning to our kiddos so we filled ourselves up on coffee and pastries and waffles before we checked out.

A very fleeting stay but one I'd certainly recommend if you are looking for an apartment-hotel in the city!

We were guests at the Citadines but all thoughts are my own

Great outfit. You should definitely share your tips on getting ready when you're in a rush, I never quite manage it.

Oh was so lovely to spend some time with you and I love how we all had slightly different adventures. Wilfs halloween outfit was too cute by the way and why not order room service I say after a morning of travelling :) Love all your photos and can't wait to read about all your flea market finds :)
