Despite visiting quite regularly for work now-a-days a trip to London is always exciting to me. It probably helps that now Wilf is a little older and has some childcare these days tend to feel like a mini holiday from 'mummying' although I'm always all the more excited to get home and see him after one.
A few weeks back I took a trip up for an event at the Shard (you can read about it here if you like) but I also took some random pics along the way and I thought I'd share them with you here and what myself and my buddy Lori got up to on our free time.
First stop after our train pulled into the bright lights of the big city was a coffee, we decided to check out the Duck and Waffle which was amazing! We only stopped for a quick cuppa but it would be an amazing venue for a cocktail evening. The only thing I would say is I'm not sure how my tummy would fair zooming down those 40 floors after a couple of drinks, it made me feel a bit wobbly as it was! The view was absolutely stunning, there is so much beauty in urban landscapes don't you think?
mmm soup ;)
I'm not sure if these kind of posts are interesting or not! I tend to take lots of snaps like this on IG and then never remember to share them here, just little glimpses of a day away.
I'm always looking for recommendations of places to try when I'm in the city so if you are from there or have visited somewhere nice I'd love to hear them!
