I mentioned last week that I took a little trip to Berlin last week with my friend Lori for a two and a half day visit of basically eating lots of good food! We stayed at the Linnen Hotel with i-escape and I wanted to share a few pictures with you guys because it really is stunning.

The first thing to notice about Linnen is how it feels immediately welcoming, more of a large friendly home than a hotel. The building contains 6 uniquely decorated rooms, each of which has been designed to a slightly different theme. In one room we found a print making screen and a hospital light! Each room feels creative and fresh rather than over designed and stuffy.
Linnen is keen on promoting being environmentally friendly. The building uses a wood pellet heating technology and Dr Bronner's Magic Soaps which are organic and fair-trade. There are no TV's in the building which makes for a nice change, we don't actually have one at home so I didn't notice at first but it makes the space seem calmer just for not having any there.
Linnen promotes local artists and designers to create their space and try to use vintage furniture when possible. This as well as their eco friendly energy methods has earn them a Silver in the Green Leaders awards. Lori and I actually stayed in 'room 3' which you can book for the equivalent of about £62 pounds a night. There aren't any twin rooms in the hotel but a camp bed was set up on request which we actually didn't need considered the bed was large enough for about 5 people! So if you are a small family of three a room like this would be perfect with a camp bed or if you'd prefer you're own rooms then Linnen also have apartments which are located near by and look just as beautiful.
There is a cafe downstairs which we used to have a quick coffee and a bit of planning before setting off for the day. It's open to the public but after hours is also open as a lounge to guests.
I've been gushing about this beautiful stay to Tom ever since I have been back and would love to try out an apartment and take them with me next time.
Booking though i-escape includes a bottle of wine on your arrival
I enjoyed a free stay at Linnen through i-escape in return for a honest review

This looks wonderful, I love the idea of having a televisionless hotel. I hate how you find yourself just watching crap simply because there's a tv in the room. x

It looks wonderful, I adore Berlin, I've stayed several times for the Film Festival and love that the city is generally perfect for cinephiles. Love the 60's vibe I found there from clubs to hotels. Fab review x
