Fresh Start

(Some daffodils Wilf planted with his granny. Daffodils always make me think of fresh starts, and Wilf thinks that him and his granny planted every daffodil he spots, regardless of where they are!)

I love this time of year for planning and thinking about fresh starts. I've recently started spring cleaning, working on new plans for my business and hatching travel plans with my little family too!

(this time last year and the last time I actually did any gardening!)

I love the changing of the seasons and feeling of starting a new chapter it gives you. I don't think there is one better than the arrival of spring because we are so glad to see the end of the cold and the dark. With the clocks changing I took my first morning walk to get coffee in the daylight for the first time of the year!

If we are talking the moment that really felt like a fresh start though was probably the day I became a mum. The was nothing more life changing that made me really feel like I'd been given a new start in life. It's changed my whole outlook on life and most certainly the person I am.

Have you taken a photo which sums up what 'fresh start' means to you? If so then why not enter the #freshstartphotos competition to win £250 of amazon vouchers (and 5 runners up to win £50 amazon vouchers). The competition is being judged by Photography Monthly mag and closes on the 24th of this month. You can see some examples of entries on this Pinterest board.

What makes you think of fresh starts?

Oh this comp sounds fabulous. Loving your pics too. I have been buying daffs every week for months now (it feels like) and Aaron & I planted daffs in the garden that we bought in a bedding tray in Aldi. Love that they flowered within 48 hours and that they're still thriving, touch wood x

We love daffs too! I planted a whole bunch of bulbs with the kids last autumn after we moved into our "forever home" and now we have lots of beautiful fresh daffodils decorating our front garden :)
