up-cyling and my favourite DIY's

As you may have guessed if you are a regular reader of my blog, clothes and fashion play a huge part in my life. There isn't much more I enjoy than a good ol' shopping splurge or even an online window shop (anyone do that thing where they spend hours finding things for their basket and then decided at the end not to go ahead?).  I often find just creating a wish list of items on the blog helps with my retail therapy ;)

I've always wanted to be that person that can whip up clothes on a sewing machine but I'm come to the realisation that's probably not going to happen anytime soon. I think my limit is probably embellishing an original outfit but I do love a bit of DIY. I'm also really loving DIY videos, if you are a fan of up-cycling or just creating something a bit more unique then there are some really fun ideas to refresh your wardrobe. It think it really helps.

I’m teaming up with Zalando this week to share some fun DIY’sMy favourite site for cute kiddo DIY projects is Let's Do Something Crafty, if you've got a pre-schooler then they are perfect. For grown up DIY I love A Beautiful Mess. I think Elsie's blog was one of the first I ever came across those 6 years ago when I started blogging!

I especially love this fun bunting top from Zalando. It would make for a lovely activity to do together too (as long as you weren't being too precious about how precise the results turn out when crafting with a 3 year old ;)).

What do you think?

I'm desperate to learn how to make my own clothes but, as you say, a bit of DIY is the next best thing and I'm always looking for new ideas. Look forward to seeing more x
