A couple of weeks ago I hopped on the train to London to attended an evening with People Tree and Zandra Rhodes (you can read the post here if you like). As I mentioned in the post I was feeling a little anxious that day, a bit pregnant and I bit not sure of myself.
I checked into my room at the Pullman St Pancras in the early afternoon and was immediately put at ease. In fact had I not had such a swish event to attend in the evening I would have been just as happy to spend the rest of the evening in my room having some quality 'me time', ordering room service and watching rubbish TV! Sometimes I think evenings like that are just as good as a holiday!

I've actually stayed at a Pullman hotel before in Paris (here) and they are always an incredible experience. The staff are so accommodating and the attention to detail is incredible, you feel incredibly looked after whilst feeling relaxed and not out of place (like I sometimes do in fancier hotels!). They really feel like a home away from home..if my home was as nicely decorated and came with macaroons that were replenished every evening ;)
I found this amazing plate of treats for me in my room along with a lovely note from the general manager wishing me a pleasant stay. Anyone who signs their messages with Walt Disney quotes gets a tick in my book!
After a truly amazing nights sleep, I got up slowly and sat around in my dressing gown, indulging in a bit of morning television and sipping tea. I wasn't rushing to get anywhere early so it was great to able to take advantage of the room as much as a could during my stay.
I wish I'd been able to get a better picture of my breakfast but unfortunately the light didn't do it justice. I will say though that the Pullman made THE best potato rostis, this pregnant lady could have eaten well more than would have seemed fitting..oh and donuts, oh and the many little yogurts..mmm
Having chatted with a jolly elderly couple in the lift what I loved about eating breakfast at the Pullman St Pancras was the air of excitement from the other dinners, many of whom were off to St Pancras station and trips to Paris or Switzerland! I love people watching and the lobby and restraint of the Pullman St Pancras is such a great place to do that.
Although I suspect most people stay at this hotel before using the Eurostar it really is a lovely part of the city and really convenient to hop on the tube to most places. With Autumn kicking in (my favourite season) London was looking very beautiful.
After I literally couldn't eat anymore I checked out of the hotel and popped in to the M&S press day before heading home to my boys. I thought I'd post a few pictures below in case any of you were interested, they have some really cute pieces coming out!
I really want this bag for myself let along my child!
I was a guest at the Pullman St Pancras but all words and thoughts are my own.
