Hanneli Mustaparta for Deichmann - What Mama Wore

When it comes to my day-to-day I like to opt for comfort but always with a stylish edge. It's all so easy in motherhood (and in pregnancy 'hello almost seven month baby bump!) to not feel like making an effort with outfits choices if the only person you are going to see that day is your local barista, however I know for myself that if I don't then I don't feel like 'myself'. I know that when I've picked out my outfit for the day and decided what goes with what, I feel put together, as if I'm ready to face whatever a day with a four year old throws at me!

Tom took a day off to watch Wilf yesterday as I had another appointment in London. My train wasn't until midday though so we decided to grab breakfast at one of my favourite Bristol cafe's, Cafe Kino. Wilf ordered his favourite, the beans on toast, washed down with a babyccino of course and Tom and I chatted about our plans for the week over a flat white and a veggie fry up.

I love that this outfit perfectly transitioned from brunch with my family to attending an event later on in the day. The shoes are the latest collaboration between German shoe brand Deichmann and stylish blogger  Hanneli Mustaparta. I chose these loafers as I loved their nod to the masculine against my often quite feminine outfit choices. Hanneli's collection features a variety of designs from 90's style platforms (which might be my second favourite from the range) to glam stilettos that would be the perfect addition to a jumpsuit for a glam night out.

After a day shuttling from locations across the big city I found these shoes to be extremely comfortable as well as looking classic and giving my outfit that added edge I felt it needed.

In case you are wondering my dress is from here and my hat is from here.

this post is an entry in a competition but all words and thoughts are my own
