I only really realised my travel bug after I became a parent. Before then there always seemed to be something more important to spend my money on or work was too busy or trips closer to home just felt more convenient. Since having Wilf however I've had a desire to show him as much of this planet as I can. I want his childhood to be full of experiences and adventure and I'm so thankful that this blog often helps us be able to do this.
One of our favourite places to travel to is France (in fact we went to Paris not only once but twice last year!). I spend lots of my own childhood holidays in the south of France, in campsites and B&B's and they were wonderful memories. We are so lucky in the UK that it's so easy for us to hop over by ferry or plane and be in this wonderful country in no time at all.
About an hour from Calais is the region of Picardy. I must admit it's not an area I'd come across before at all but after being approached by Esprit de Picardy a new online service set up to showcase all their is for the region to offer I was intrigued.
The site actually offers you a direct connection to owners of places to stay in the area as well as recommendations from local English-speaking guides of things to do. Making planning a trip so much more easier and give you the ability to get so much more out of your stay.
Have you visited Picardy? What to you think of the Esprit de Picardy service?
