A little bit of sun and an indoor picnic

This boy loves sweetcorn so much, he would eat about four in one go if we let him. When he first started to talk he would call them 'sweet pickles!' for some reason and so it stuck, now we all call them that!

With the weather heating up a little (how nice has it been over the past few days?!) we've been enjoying getting outside as much as we can. On wednesday I took part in a Bristol creative Instagram walk which was so much fun and so nice to get to know some new people. Then on the weekend we went on a nature trail on Brandon Hill (post to come) it was SO nice to spend time outside and its reminded me (as it does every year I'm sure) how much happier everyone is with some vitamin D.

I'm working with Aldi on this post to show you their new Special Buys range of BBQ and Picnic items. I'm sure lots of you know about the Special Buys that pop in the shop (the baby range in particular has been fantastic I think). This is the first time however that these ranges will be available to buy online. Although like usually you have to be quick to get them as these special ranges sell out quickly!

We were sent some of the items from this range to test out over the weekend and I'm so impressed with both the design and price point. The picnic items below are listed by price:

Picnic blanket - £6.99
Pack of 4 melamine plates - £3.99
Salad Break Box - £1.49
Food Storage Containers - £2.99

As a big fan of colour and patterns I love the designs on these items. How fun is that pop of yellow for a picnic blanket?

The other item we were sent to try out was their electric grill which is priced at £29.99. Anyone in the UK will know that good weather isn't always a given when it comes to planning a BBQ so I think an electric grill is pretty genius. Wilf has a blast at our 'indoor picnic' on Sunday evening and it's a piece of kit thats small enough to fit away in a cupboard and not take up much space as kitchen gadgets tend to. I was also really impressed with how it cooked halloumi, I always end up ruining that on the BBQ usually!

The BBQ and Picnic range doesn't actually hit stores until the 28th of April so its a couple of days until you can buy these bits plus more including a chinenea, full BBQ set, a cool pack and other picnic items.  Let's just hope we're in for some more sun this year!
