t's my birthday on the last day of November and I know it also marks the end of Autumn, my favourite season and the start of Winter. Lately life has just been so busy, we seem to be drawing to yearly anniversaries of a few things, Mabli turns one and so reaches the end of the first year of parenting two children. Something that has been more joyful than I could have imagined but equally harder than I envisioned too.
I'm working with BEAR on this post, you can read my previous collaborations with them Here and Here.
I always thought I would be the homemaker mum, the one who created the school costumes from scratch, who went all out on the holiday season. Easter Egg hunts, coordinated family Halloween outfits... but when it came to it this year Halloween came and went without us even carving a pumpkin!

This year we decided to celebrate Autumn instead and use the pumpkins we’d bought to make a delicious seasonal soup.
Autumn for us is all about getting outside, seeing family and scootering in the park through the beautifully coloured leaves. Feeding ducks, indoor picnics, hot chocolate and spooky snacks. We didn't do any trick or treating but instead the treats are still being eaten, after school or during the quiet time where I made Wilf a nest and he listened to the audiobook or ‘Tthe Faraway Tree’.
With all of these fun activities, I’ve been looking for healthier alternatives with no refined sugar to keep Wilf energised and getting one of his five a day BEAR Claws are perfect as they are made from 100% whole fruit and veg, made into freaky shapes and tasting like treats - they are the perfect spooky snack, whether it's for Halloween or not!
...And now, I can't believe that it's Winter already! This year has absolutely flown by, it's been the best one yet and I'm excited to get stuck into December where we have 'celebration month' (both our children's birthdays) and Christmas in store!
What did you get up to on Halloween? Have you tried BEAR Claws?
