Growing older - Lift and Luminate #bettertogether

I used to be so worried about growing older, about achieving milestones by certain points. I would think 'such and such will be OK as long as I've done this or that before I'm 30'. Thirty was such a huge number in my head, maybe because I distinctly remember my parents both turning 30 and how grown up they seemed to then five year old me.

I hated my 25th birthday, it was a marker to me that I was approaching 'late twenties' no longer was I fresh out of uni or 'young and free'. I worried if I was too old now to wear certain clothes or attend certain events. I had my first child at 26 and funny enough it was this moment that I started to put age into perspective. It didn't matter how old I was or what I wore or what music I was into. Motherhood reminded me how silly all that was and by the time my thirtieth did role around I was completely ready to embrace it. If anything my confidence has done nothing but grown as I have got older and I actually think I'm more self assured and empowered now than I was as a twenty something.

That being said two children later and I most certainly look older, and whilst age is of course natural and to be celebrated there are a few things I would like to improve on, such as how tired my eyes look! Five years of sleepless nights and very early mornings have given my eye bags eye bags. My skin isn't as firm as it once was (I'm noticing my neck especially so) and I'd say that I generally feel a little less 'brighter'.

I'm working with No7 (who are the number 1 serum brand) in this post to review their 'Lift and Luminate' skin care regime.  If you've ever used their Triple Action serum then these are new products which act as an extension of this technology. The day and night cream now include the same triple action formula that the serum uses. Having been proven to help tackle the three most common signs of ageing, wrinkles visibly reduced and skin appears lifted and firmer and skin tone more even.

I'm a bit believer in a skin care regime and really see a difference to my skin when I don't follow one. For example we've just gone though a bathroom refit so all my products had been stored away in our bedroom, this meant I got into the habit of just slashing water on my face twice a day in the kitchen sink and my gosh my skin got bad! I definitely see a difference when I cleanse and moisturise and also when I use day creams and night creams. I've learnt a lot about skincare over the past five years or so, gone are the days I'd use face wipes and a general cream for both day and night, ah!

I'll be trialling these products over the next four weeks to see if I can see a noticeable difference and will be posting my results here then so do check back in if you're interested to see how I got on. Apparently results can be seen within two weeks with 88% of women seeing better results when using the L&L day cream with the L&L serum.

For me looking good isn't about adoring to a standard type or idea of how a thirty something women should look but about how I feel in my own skin. When I feel good about myself and how I look then I also feel more positive about my life in general!

I actually have five sets of these products to give away to 5 lucky readers. All you need to do is enter the rafflecopter widget below and follow the instructions there. I'm actually taking part in this review along with some of my favourite bloggers, proving that we are indeed #bettertogether. I thought I would link them below too just incase you fancy heading over to their blogs to see how they get on with them over the trial period!

As a 35 year old mother of two boys I continue to struggle to come to terms with the aging process. All of my friends laugh at me as they just don't seem to feel the same but my lines, wrinkles and dark circles affect me a lot. I am a sociable and outgoing person; and I still make an effort to follow fashion and wear make up,look after myself. It's just taking longer to get ready these days!

I very clearly remember my mums 40th birthday. That'll be me this year and despite thinking that I'd be terrified of being old, the reality is I feared 30 more. I'm just better now.

I hate the thought of getting old especially now I've got the big 4 0 in a few years so I'm always looking at different anti-wrinkle creams

I am now 30 and a mother of three! Which as I type does sound "old" (yikes), but as you said, by the time I turned 30 I just embraced it, feeling more confident in who I am as a person! And taking care of myself Is so important! I feel so ready for the day when I've taken the time to cleanse and look after my face! I'm a skincare geek! Lol, looking forward to seeing how you get on! xx

Ooh I'd love this. Just found myself staring in the mirror yesterday wondering where it all went wrong!! It's been 12 weeks since I've become a mum of two and the multiple wakeups is definitely adding to my 'look'... The not back to my pre pregnancy weight so wearing a very limited wardrobe, Dark circles under my eyes anda not so clear completion. I usually use the no 7 beautiful skin skin so would love to win this!! Fingers crossed!

I turned 30 in December and to be honest,I'm actually more excited about my 30s than I ever was about my 20's! My daughter is 2 and has given me a sense of confidence I never had before when it comes to my decision making, life priorities and looking after myself more...BUT something I never dreamt would happen was the kick in the teeth my body confidence took after becoming a mother. It has taken me over 2 years to start to feel me in my own skin again which has been an enourmous challenge emotionally...and as for my skin - I feel like I always look exhausted no matter how much sleep I've had. I have smile lines, frown lines, crows feet and suitcases under my eyes that don't seem to want to shift! I've tried a few face masks and day and night creams but I'm really pants at remembering to stick to skin routines when I'm so busy and tired.would be great to win this to give me some inspiration to get on it! I get married in august so would be nice to have a nice glow rather than my usual shade of grey!! Xx

I'm 37 and mother of 3 girls and wish I'd started using beauty products sooner but when you're young you think you don't need it and when you're a mum you don't have the time! I guess it's better late than never to start a beauty regime.

As I currently stand im a 31 year old mum of the girlie MooMin 9 going on 19 some days, and little man JT 6 who is the worlds most accident prone person I know. They can both bring me so much joy but also so be the cause of so much stress, worry, more grey hair and definitely wrinkles and bags under the eyes. Pair this with owning and running my own business with my husband, I really do feel it's time to get in to a better routine of caring for mum

I'm approaching 40 and although I've always looked after my skin and cleansed and moisturised I definitely need help around the eyes! No7 protect and perfect eye cream is actually the best I've found so far! X

I'm trying to take it all in my stride, although sometimes I feel I'm not in life where I think I should be (or want to be).

I do get a bit anxious about how fast my life seems to be going! I'm scared I'll wake up one day and realise that I'm 70 and my life has just flown by! I would like to prevent the visible effects of aging as much as possible!

I try to embrace it. My husband hates any form of Botox or fillers as much as I'd love them I suppose I just have to hope I win this instead :) @bexlord
