Animal Prints with Fat Face (plus my new favourite cafe!)

If you saw my last post featuring Fat Face you'll know that they are fast becoming one of my favourite clothing brands. Previously a store that I wasn't as aquatinted with I've been converted in a big way, their mustard mac for example being one of my staple wardrobe items.

I'm so pleased to be working with them again in another style post and I may have let out a little squeal when I saw the cat and zebra prints! All items in the pictures below can be found online from statement giraffe trousers to the comfiest of staple T Shirts (like this grey one, so soft!).

Me and my buddy Lauren set about exploring Totterdown which is another 'new-to-me' area of Bristol I don't really know so well. I think the last few years of being a mummy have made stay a little closer to my own neighbourhood and venture to different parts of it a bit less. I think I've spoken about it before but having a friend who also doesn't know the city too much either has been really nice to explore with. Especially when she has such a good eye for capturing it in its beauty.

And back to the clothes! Lauren and I stumbled across this cute cafe called 'The Eating Room' which is on Wells Road. One of my favourite feelings in the world is the excitement of discovering a place like this, we were all over it taking shots for our Instagram and this 'jungle cat' printed skirt fitted in so well with the aesthetic!

After coffee and brunch we headed out to wander down cute colourful housed streets, I changed into this African floral skirt. This look made me really nostalgic for my childhood as my mum used to dress in items like this all the time, she is South African and so Africa and it's history and culture is very important to her. I remember looking though all the gorgeous prints and patterns from the dresses she had brought back from there, I think that being surrounded by clothing like that was part of my first love of pattern and textiles.

Having both pointed out exactly which colourful house we would like to own and took in the view from Perretts park over our beautiful city we headed to the shade of Victoria Park and another quick clothing change! I wore the giraffe print trousers I mentioned at the start of this post but combined it with this beautiful blouse. This was my favourite outfit of the day as it was so comfy and cool! I felt like the beautiful lace detailing lended itself so well to the trousers but you could wear it in so many different ways. For example with a skirt for a more smarter look or with denim shorts for a casual summer feel!

Ok so quite a lot of pics of that outfit but I told you it was my favourite right? ;)

Lastly I gave wearing the giraffe print a go in dress form. You can also get this in a maxi dress, skirt and top! I did try the dress and trousers together but it felt a bit too much like PJ's haha! This is such a simple but fun outfit and most importantly has pockets!

I hope you liked this post! What did you think of the items I picked out? I'd love to know which was your favourite!
