In love with the Zinc (and a updated living room tour)

It's been a little while since I did an interior post over here, we've been so busy lately deciding whether we want to sell our house and move locations that it basically put stop to any house updates. A couple of months back we thought we definitely did want to move and so any interior projects stopped and now we've decided we want to put that on hold for a while its reminded me how much I really love our home.

My favourite part of our house in our living room. It's the hear of our home where we all hang out. It's where the kids play, where Tom and I share a cup of tea and the latest box set as soon as they are in bed. I wanted the space to suit all our our needs and personality so it's bright and fun for the kids but also has the grown up elements of Scandinavian design and an attempt at minimalism.

We had wanted to get the Zinc French Connection sofa from DFS for this space for a while. We previously had a sofa bed as we don't have a spare room. It actually made for quite an uncomfortable couch so when we realised the amount of guests we'd had in the past seven years amounted to about five we decided to invest in actual comfort over what we had thought was most practical. So when I worked with DFS earlier in the year (here) and they asked if we would like to review one it felt like a sign.

We've loved updating our living room with this piece and it's literally one of the comfiest sofa's I've ever tried. We went for the grey three seater which all four of us can fit on. We also have an arm chair for times when we don't want to be quite so cuddly and can have a bit of space ha!

I think it compliments the room and our aesthetics perfectly and I love that the grey colour way literally can go with anything. We try to keep the big furniture items like this and the cabinet quite neutral so that we can use blocks of colour elsewhere.

You can actually get this sofa in a few different seat options (and as a corner seat) it also now comes in velvet which I'm pretty obsessed about!

It's been the perfect update to our living room and I love sinking down into it at the end of a long day!

Do you have the Zinc? What do you think of the design? You can see my day out with DFS and Aardman here too if you fancy a read.

Oh and whilst we're at it a did a whole house tour video if you're interested I've popped it below :)

How is the DFS sofa working out. Love the design, but with 2 boys, 2 cats and a dog I am worried about its durability. Thanks.
