I recently joined the micro blogging appDayre (you can find me at Dayre.me/tigerlillyquinn if you want to follow along).
I've noticed lately that social media is slightly overtaking blogs in terms of what I look for for inspiration or for checking in with friends. As many of you know I am addicted to both pin board sites and photography apps and whilst I use the former for collating inspirational and beautiful internet finds I use the latter for quick updates of my day. I've never been one for huge essay long posts and find I am much more of a visual person when it comes to blog entries.
This is where Dayre kind of combines the two. With a limited number of characters (500) but enough to create short concise posts the app lets you upload a picture, video or even post a sticker (I am a sucker for an Emoji!) and create a short blog post.
Myself and 29 other bloggers have been given the chance (and challenge) to try the app as an official alpha-seeder and post every day for the next six weeks. I actually blog daily on this 'ere blog of mine so I think this should be a good one for me! What is hard for me though is selecting just one image! I tend to take lots of photos and am then stuck between 3 or 4 fairly similar pictures which I feel I love equally. Especially hard when it's photos of your loved ones! So I think this will be a great learning curve on being decisive and selective with the imagery used to illustrated my posts.
Dayre is currently a small community but I'm really excited to see it grow and discover lots of new bloggers through it. If you decide to join I'd love to follow along with your journey, do find me over there there and I'll be sure to follow along with your posts too!
The app is available for free on both Android and iPhones.
I have been invited to test this app over the following 6 weeks along with 29 other bloggers and review how I find it. This is a sponsored post but all words and thoughts are my own.
Oooh another app addiction! Do you cover different stuff on it? Use it to promote your main blog? Or is it an extra?! I need to check it out really don't I?! ;)
This is an interesting concept. I'm not sure I would use it at the moment but shall keep an eye on how it develops. Only just got to grips with Twitter!
no it's just like a separate micro blogging site, you upload things during your day and it add to each post to at the end of the day you have a blog post of your day! probably easier to see yourself :) x
haha yes I think it would probably be easier to see yourself (I'm probably not the best at explaining!) I do put different content on there. Basically things that would not be enough for a real blog post if that makes sense? x

This sounds interesting but can it post directly to your site? I am confused.
