On a rare day when it wasn't storming or pouring with rain Tom, his mum, Wilf and I visited West Bay. It was so sunny, the sky was bluer than blue, it probably looks like I've added filters to these shots of the sky but it was just nature being cool.
We took a little walk to the beach and harbour before hot chocolate and cake at a beach cafe. It kind of reminded me of my teenage year hanging out on the beach in Aberystwyth and New Quay with my friends, I guess a sunny winters day and a beach cafe will do that to you.
I ripped this coat as I was helping Wilf with something or other, which is a shame. Although I did get it from a charity shop about four years ago so it's been doing pretty well. It's given me an excuse to look at coats in the winter sales though, unfortunately I feel in love with one totally out of my budget but a girl can always dream. Anyone know where I can find a vintage style coat in duck egg blue under £100? I will probably love you forever if so!

Beautiful pictures, great light! That cliff looks amazing, can you find fossils there? Commiserations on the coat, always tramatic day when you have to say goodbye to a great coat ...
Beautiful photographs! x

Is it sad, obsessive or marvellous that I know exactly where everyone one of those photos was taken? I love th golden cliffs of West Bay, we've been going there since I was a child as my great aunt lived in Bridport. Her funeral was on the morning that The Boy was born so a few months later we all went back down to scatter her ashed from the spot on the harbour walls where she used to sit and mark her schoolbooks.
Beautiful photos, this looks like such an idyllic little village.
Wow it looks so beautiful there. Your photographs are amazing.
Such a shame about your coat, I hope you can find another one soon xx
Looks like such a lovely day Fritha! Sending you lots of good luck in your coat seeking, and I will keep a look out too! Lulu x

beautiful photos... we're in need of a trip to the beach - fingers crossed for another sunny day soon!
that's such a lovely memory to share! Tom is now wondering if he knew your great aunt as he was brought up and went to school in Bridport! x
Gorgeous photos. I was about to say I love your coat! Can it be repaired (and buy the new coat too ;-))? Haven't been to West Bay but I love Aberystwyth. :-) x
Beautiful - move to a British coastal town - New Year's resolution #2! (#1 is to be more frugal and save the money) The cliff shot is amazing and the pictures of you on the beach with the sand are great - what textures!

Oh God, please excuse all the typos from that earlier comment as I was typing on my phone! I doubt he would because she was a few years short of 100 when she died; it's more likely that she taught his parents! She taught in either Burton Bradstock or Beaminster.
Beautiful photos as always Fritha. x
Just beautiful Fritha - fabulous photographs, love them all. Will let you know if I see any vintage coats in duck egg blue - great colour, bought a duck egg blue woolly yesterday!

I really want to go to West Bay, especially after seeing it on Broadchurch last year. It is only an hor up the road so I have no excuse really!
