When it comes to our home I'm almost always changing it up. As much as I love pinning and swooning at monochrome minimalistic interiors for me its always going to be about colour and pattern.

I'm a colour lover for sure and I'm pretty much all for the more colour and prints the better! I'm itching to re-paint our living room walls, as much as I love the turquoise we've had them like that for almost four years and I think it might be time for a change. There are of course easier walls to switch up your living space for less effort like changing your cushion covers or pictures on the wall. Something we haven't changed since we bought our home is the curtains, which is odd really as it wouldn't be super hard to do and would make quite a dramatic difference.
I tested the service form the Natural Curtain Company recently and picked out a few samples to try. I'm actually really loving this blue and yellow design as it would really fit with our colour scheme and is pretty retro in design too. The quality feels fantastic and you can order your curtains made to measure once you've settled on your choice.

There's some lovely patterns in their collection. Just the thing for refreshing a room.
I've lived without curtains for seven years now. In our house in the UK we renovated and hadn't got around to curtains before we accepted a posting in Canada. Now we're in a rented property and some windows have blinds - as for the rest, I'm not buying curtains for windows I may not be living with much longer. I'll have to follow your Pinterest board for the day when curtains re-enter my life :-)
I love patterns like this - I like to keep my walls and carpet plain so I can change things around really easily with curtains, cushions and rugs x x
Love the Lomo Instant White with 3 Lenses, the lenses would be great for creating effects
L Lomo'Instant Black Edition :)
Fabolous fabric! I love your board too and am now following.
I love the orange of the Lomo'Instant Sanremo Camera

I cannot wait to get my own place so I can get excited about curtains. I probably sound really sad but its the little things in life that make me happy! x
I totally agree - we get so much more out of our outdoor adventures, exploring new places and basically both of us having fun. Love the photos btw

Love the wide angle lens, stunning results!
My favourite is the Fuji Instax 7S Pink x
Those colours as so sophisticated - I love them very fresh for Winter too (contrasts to the 'rich' Xmassy colours!)
I'm a colour lover too - I want everything neutral in our house so that I can then jazz everything up with lots of colour each season!
Every house needs some colour. I am not good with getting things right when it comes to interior designs so I am extremely grateful that Pinterest exists :-)
I have never felt moved to comment on a blog but this really touched a nerve with me. I have been going to organised playgroups since I had my second baby. I have an older boy who is the same age as Wilf. They are good places to go and breastfeed while your other child plays.
BUT... the other mothers. I find myself checking out their clothes and how they are with their kids and wondering if we're on the same wavelength maybe? Most often I feel like a fish out of water. And my son often ends up super stressed cos the sharing thing is so hard at their age.
After much trial and error I have found a good one really near us that is quiet. And most importantly has good coffee.
But most times we just have little trips out like you describe. Whole days in the park, the zoo (we live in Bristol too) If it's raining sometimes just get on a bus and a short train ride, which my son loves and is super cheap.
My favourite spot is Tyntsfield, which is just outside Bristol. A complete haven, out of the city. You don't even have to pay to go in. Could just hang out in their playground, which has tractors and a cow to milk and mama can have a national trust cream tea. Yum. Highly recommended.
Maybe we'll spot you in the zoo one day. (I promise I'm not a stalker!)
Love your blog btw. Good luck with your wedding. Enjoy every minute x x
I am obsessed with pieces of fabric currently x
Oh it sounds great, will def take a look. I hate play groups, I used to go when Cherry was a baby as one of my friends had a baby the same age and we met lots of other people there but I haven't taken Tiger to a single one, the thought breaks me out in a sweat! x
I am FOREVER looking for fun new places to go as a family so any website that has tips or money savings is right up my street!
I am trying to find the perfect fabric for a bed tent.....cannot quite find what I am loking for
I've got a cushion cover in the St Judes fabric you picked out at the bottom, different colourway, love their fabrics.
I've currently got the decorating bug too! Getting a conservatory so thinking how to decorate it
I'm certainly a fan of using fabrics, colours and patterns to add splashes of colour to rooms.
I'd defo use one of those for sure! Really good idea!
What beautiful photographs...kids passes are such a good idea. As a nanny I've attending so many toddler groups and I always find them so depressing...it's worth searching around to see what else is on offer and annual passes are a brilliant way of having alternative options for entertainment and getting some fresh air! x
I was never a fan of playgroups either. Kids Pass sounds fab - days out can get expensive can't they!
I quite like neutral paint bases for rooms, with maybe a feature strip/wall of colour and then I add more colour by way of fabrics, cushions etc. Its easier to change up that way. Choosing a feature piece of furniture upholstered in a fabulous fabric can be a great way to create a instant room feature and you can then pick out colours from the fabric to carry on throughout the room with rugs/cushions/curtains. Fabrics also add texture and layers to a space, which prevents a room looking dull and one dimensional.
