Ty Hotel Milford Haven – A Stay on the Water

We recently took a trip to Milford Haven’s waterfront and the charming shore apartments at Ty Hotel Milford Haven. I’ve been really enjoying exploring more of Wales and Pembrokeshire in particular is just beautiful. We spent a couple of days strolling along the picturesque harbor and immersing ourselves in the rich history of this beautiful place. So, grab a cuppa, get cozy, and let me tell you about Milford Haven.

Nestled along the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline, Milford Haven is a waterfront hub of bustling activity, filled with a vibrant atmosphere and breathtaking views. As you wander along the docks, you’ll come across Ty Hotel, a hidden gem that offers a delightful stay with its shore apartments.

Imagine waking up to the gentle lapping of waves against the shore, drawing open the curtains, and stepping onto your private balcony, greeted by a panorama of tranquil waters and bobbing sailboats. This is what awaits you at Ty Hotel Milford Haven’s ‘Shore apartments’. Stylishly designed with a touch of coastal charm, these accommodations provide a comfortable and idyllic retreat, a home away from home.

Ty Hotel also has a really interesting look ‘floatels’ that would be great for couples. The bedrooms look out onto the marina each with their own balcony too. We got so lucky with the Milford Haven weather!

During our trip to Milford Haven, we ate at the Dulse restaurant which is part of the Ty Hotel. The warm and inviting ambiance reflects the welcoming nature of this coastal gem, and the menu has lots of vegetarian choices. Using locally sourced ingredients and innovative dishes that fuse traditional Welsh flavors with global cuisine. Whether you’re savoring a leisurely dinner after a busy day of adventures or enjoying a cozy brunch Dulce promises to have something for everyone.

As you continue exploring the waterfront, be sure to visit the museum, which stands as a treasure trove of Milford Haven’s fascinating history. Step back in time to a bygone era when the whaling industry thrived in this coastal town. Whilst I’m glad that whaling doesn’t take place anymore it was still really fascinating hearing about how important this industry was for this town.

Speaking of history, did you know that Milford Haven owes its initial development to the Quakers? Known for their values of peace and equality, the Quakers chose this location in the late 18th century to establish a haven for their community. Their influence can still be felt today, as their legacy shaped the town and its values. You can spot many street and road names in Milford Haven that are taken from their Nantucket ancestors. It’s a reminder of the power of community and the lasting impact of those who came before us.

As you roam the waterfront, take a moment to soak in the natural beauty that surrounds you. The expansive harbor, dotted with sailboats and yachts, blends seamlessly with the rugged coastline. Walking along the promenade, you’ll spot a variety of cozy cafes, seafood restaurants, and boutique shops, each offering a delightful taste of local flavors and warm Welsh hospitality. Be sure to check the tide times for Milford Haven.

We really enjoyed our trip to Milford Haven’s waterfront is not just a feast for the senses, but an opportunity to reconnect with nature, immerse yourself in history, and create lasting memories with loved ones. So, when you’re ready for a getaway that combines charm, history, and natural wonder, make your way to this coastal gem. Whether you choose to stay in Ty Hotel’s shore apartments, experience the unique floatels, or even another hotel in Milford Haven, rest assured that Milford Haven’s waterfront will leave an indelible mark on your soul. Happy adventures!
