Fifteen years ago my now husband and I bought a run-down house in Bristol and decided to do it up with little more than a bit of savings, a few good friends with DIY skills, and a lot of cups of tea. A couple of years later we added a now twelve-year-old boy named Wilf, a then a little girl named Mabli Kittiwake, and two fat cats and we are constantly adding to our dream home. Most recently we have started a new life in Cardiff, Wales and started to homeschool. We now spend our time as family, travelling, discovering more of this new to us city and spending time as a family.
