Our adventure began with a simple jaunt on the tube. Catch the Jubilee Line and hop off at Canary Wharf Station; you’ll find yourself just a brisk walk away from the hotel. This part of the journey couldn’t be smoother, and even as you emerge from the station, Canary Wharf presents itself like a scene from a sleek film set with its towering glass structures and buzzing atmosphere.
Tribe Canary Wharf – First Impressions: Chic and Inviting
Walking into TRIBE Canary Wharf, you’re met with something special – it’s laid-back yet luxurious, stylish yet straightforward. The interior says modern chic, with an artful decor that’s both inviting and intriguing. Checking in felt like a warm welcome into a friend’s uber-cool home (that gallery wall!) making it clear right from the start that we were in for a treat.
The Rooms at Tribe Canary Wharf: Cloud-Like Comfort Meets Sleek Style
The aesthetics of our room (the Tribe Extra) were understated yet luxurious, marrying functionality with comfort. Spacious, featuring crisp linens on a sprawling bed, and bathed in natural light with stunning views over the urbane landscape – it promised, and delivered a perfect night’s sleep.
For those who prefer cosier spaces, the ‘Tribe Essential room offers a snug charm without skimping on style. No matter your choice, each room type encapsulates that ideal blend of comfort and chic – just the place to recline after a day of exploring!
Cocktails at the Bar – Feels like June
Now, let me take you to my favourite part – the bar at TRIBE. We decided to indulge in the art of mixology, sampling bespoke cocktails that were not only a treat to the taste buds but also a joy to the eyes. My drink was served smoking and in a glass shaped like a skull! I honestly feel like the drinks would rival any bar in Canary Wharf.
Morning Delights: Breakfast at Feels Like June
Breakfast in Canary Wharf was another chapter of our delightful stay. The options at Feels Like June were plentiful and oh-so tempting. We could choose from an array of dishes that catered to every palate, from the hearty full English that would fill you up good and proper, to lighter, health-conscious options like fruit salads and granola. It was the kind of breakfast that not only satisfies your hunger but sets a cheerful mood for the day ahead. Can I also mention the vegan sausages were probably some of the best I’ve ever had?
Stepping Out: The Canary Wharf Scene
Venturing out into Canary Wharf, we were spoiled for choice. This place is a patchwork of modern amenities and leisurely delights. The Museum of London Docklands offered a deep dive into the rich history of the area, perfect for a bit of cultural nourishment (we did this a year or so earlier with the kids) For a nature fix, we strolled to the Crossrail Place Roof Garden, a lush green oasis juxtaposed against the surrounding modern architecture, offering a serene escape high above the street level.
The perfect venue for the O2
Our main reason for staying at TRIBE London was that we were going to see Weezer x The Smashing Pumpkins at the O2. And not just anywhere in The O2, but from the swanky comfort of a hospitality box! You can see my reel from the night here.
From ‘1979’ to ‘Tonight, Tonight’, each song was a wave of memories, each riff a throwback to my youth – except this time, I had a super comfy seat and not a spilled beer in sight. Living the dream!
