From the moment we stepped into the Artists Residence Brighton, it was like we’d walked into a wonderland, crafted by artists with a knack for making you feel right at home. It wasn’t just a hotel stay; it was an embrace of the quirky, the eclectic, and the wonderfully unusual. Each room is a unique masterpiece, ensuring our stay was nothing short of extraordinary.

Brighton has always held a special place in our hearts, with its vibrant lanes and vegetarian cafes. But this time, our getaway was something out of the ordinary — a stay at the Artist’s Residence. Imagine cozying up in a place that feels like a warm hug, where every nook tells a story and every room is a canvas of creativity.

We checked into a medium double which had a double bed and a single camp bed style bed for Wilf. The decor was very fun and modern with murals designed by Matt Sewell, I like the collage-themed graphic design and the blues and pinks (as did Wilf).
I love the wooden crates and wire clothes hangings to store clothes and bags. I’m also a huge fan of the industrial-style lighting at the Artists Residence Brighton.

The room did have a few signs of wear and tear that you’d find in an old Victorian building (we have the same issues in our home) and the bathroom was very compact if a little dated.
After a great night’s sleep (Wilf was very excited to be sleeping on his little camp bed and kept calling that area ‘his room’) we woke up bright and early with our tummies rumbling. Which was lucky as The Artist Residence has an amazing little restaurant downstairs (like really their coffee was so good).
Tom went for the pancakes.. Myself the poached eggs..

And Wilf won by asking for granola and ending up with this delicious granola yogurt compote. I don’t think my regular granola will ever match up!
We enjoyed our stay at the Artist Residence in Brighton. The perfect seaside stay for a family trip with beautiful design. Have you stayed in any of the Artist Residence’s? (I stayed in their new London branch here). We just have Cornwall to tick off now!
