linnen hotel – berlin
I mentioned last week that I took a little trip to Berlin last week with my friend Lori for a two-and-a-half-day visit of basically eating lots of good food! We stayed at the Linnen Hotel Berlin and I wanted to share a few pictures with you guys because it really is stunning. I would say it’s quite a cheap hotel in Berlin but with a premier feel.
Linnen is keen on promoting being environmentally friendly. The building uses a wood pellet heating technology and Dr Bronner’s Magic Soaps which are organic and fair-trade. There are no TV’s in the building which makes for a nice change, we don’t actually have one at home so I didn’t notice at first but it makes the space seem calmer just for not having any there.
Linnen promotes local artists and designers to create their space and try to use vintage furniture when possible. This as well as their eco friendly energy methods has earn them a Silver in the Green Leaders awards. Lori and I stayed in ‘room 3’ which you can book for the equivalent of about £62 a night. There aren’t any twin rooms in the hotel but a camp bed was set up on request which we didn’t need considering the bed was large enough for about 5 people! So if you are a small family of three a room like this would be perfect with a camp bed or if you’d prefer you’re own rooms then Linnen also have apartments which are located nearby and look just as beautiful.
There is a cafe downstairs which we used to have a quick coffee and a bit of planning before setting off for the day. It’s open to the public but after hours is also open as a lounge to guests.
I’ve been gushing about this beautiful stay at this hotel in central Berlin to Tom ever since I have been back.
