Southville Bristol – our week in pictures

Southville Bristol

We’ve been living in Southville Bristol for six months now and we couldn’t be more happy with our decision to move to this side of the city. I don’t know if its the storms (so many!) or the tiredness from a January that felt like it had last one hundred years but February half-term was so welcome. We had zero plans for the week other than staying home and when we did head out it was very much a local excursion.

We are lucky enough to live only a few minutes from the most amazing independent highstreet. We took the kids along to a storytelling and illustration drop in at Storysmiths one day and picked up a year pass for our local science museum one rainy morning.

Our area also boasts a fair few charity shops which are one of our favourite weekend activities to do, just wander along and have a mooch. I’m always much more relaxed letting them spend pocket money in them as we’re not buying new and we’re also giving to charity.

We also spent a lot of time at Windmill City Farm which I’ve posted about before here I love looking back on these posts and seeing the kids so tiny. It reminds me how fast they are growing up!

With Tom working from home too we’ve been able to juggle the kids being off with work a lot easier than most. Something I’m super grateful for always, the school holidays are definitely some of the times that bring that home for me hard. I also can’t believe that we only have a few short months before Mabli starts school properly, ah! Anyway, I thought I’d photo dump a few of my favorites below. As ever I only shoot using my Google Pixel.

I can’t remember if I shared that I dyed my hair but you can guess from these pics I did. Funny story is Mabli actually picked out the colour for me when we were running an exciting errand in Wilkos the other day. I must have been in a pretty spontaneous mood but gotta say it was a good choice!
