I don’t know about you but we always have an abundance of cardboard in our home. I don’t even want to know how many toilet roll crafts we have in our home! If you are looking for magical cardboard crafts to make with your children, look no further!

I love this magical forest cardboard craft idea from ‘Artful Parent’. It’s so simple to make but ends up as such a great play forest. You could add little animals to it or even expand the forest using the same techniques for houses or hills.

Next up is this super cute wall hanging box aquarium. Using slits at the top you can move the fish up and down the box as a fun way to appear like they are swimming. It is attached to the wall with masking tape so pretty easy to pop up straight away.

How sweet and super simple are these cats with jumpers? Would be great for gross motor skill development too. Perfect for 5-minute craft ideas if you have a kiddo that needs to keep their fingers busy for a short amount of time.
Educational cardboard crafts
As we home-educate I’m always looking for fun crafts with an educational element too. Although of course crafting anyway teaches lots of skills. I fully believe that learning through play is the best way to encourage little learners.

I am obsessed with this cute monster that wants to eat cookies! It’s a brilliant way to recognise words and make it fun for younger children. You can find instructions over this blog as well as many other fun educational crafts.
