If you’re looking for a Eurocamp holiday in Croatia, but don’t want to spend your holiday driving around or faffing with holiday rentals, Amadria Park Camping Trogir could be exactly what you’re looking for.
Located on the beautiful Dalmatian coast in Seget Vranjica, just outside the historic town of Trogir, this large beachfront holiday park combines everything I love about a Eurocamp holiday – self-catering accommodation, swimming pools, activities and plenty to do on site – with something that is particularly important to us: you don’t need a car to enjoy it.
And there are two particularly useful ways to book a stay here. Where is Amadria Park Eurocamp Trogir Croatia?
Amadria Park Camping Trogir is in Seget Vranjica, on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, around 6km from Trogir and approximately 33km from Split. The location was one of the biggest attractions for us and why we chose this particular Eurocamp location. The holiday park sits right beside the Adriatic, with direct access to a beautiful pebble/shingle beach and clear turquoise water.
It is also super close to Split Airport. Amadria Park itself puts Split Airport at around 17km away, with a typical journey of approximately 15 minutes by car. We booked an UBER and it cost £7, I’d definitely recommend doing this over paying for a transfer service from Split airport as the quotes we were getting were around $35 one way!
Can you visit this Eurocamp without a car?
Yes – and this is one of the reasons this particular Eurocamp in Croatia caught my attention. As an aside we are a car-free family so if you are interested in car-free family travel you will find all the locations reviewed here accessible without hiring a car. A lot of Eurocamp campsites are wonderful once you arrive, but getting there and exploring beyond the campsite can be more complicated without a car. Eurocamp Trogir Croatia is different because you have several options.
Firstly, Trogir is close by. You can use a UBER or bus get into town (roughly 10/15 mins drive) or there is also a boat service/water taxi straight from the resort to Trogir which is a particularly lovely way to arrive in the historic old town.
And once you’re in Trogir, you’re somewhere that is very easy to explore on foot. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, filled with narrow cobbled streets, historic buildings, waterfront restaurants and beautiful squares. We only spent one afternoon here as we enjoyed staying in the resort so much but lots of guests talk about visiting Trogir for an evening meal multiple times during their stay because it’s so close.
What’s Amadria Park Camping Trogir actually like?
The holiday park is built on a hillside overlooking the sea, with lots of Mediterranean greenery and views across the Adriatic. It’s certainly the most fancy Eurocamp we’ve visited giving high end resort vibes over your traditional camp.
There is direct access to the beach, swimming pools, restaurants, bars, a supermarket and various activities. The Eurocamp caravans are located at the top of the resort (by the reception and supermarket) however the walk down to the sea is around 5 minutes (a little longer on the way back up as its up hill!)
In terms of pools there are two on site, one small more secluded pool and one pool area with bar and sun loungers. This consists of a baby/toddler pool and two separate infinity pools. The water was freshwater and when we visited in September the weather was 33 degrees so perfect for swimming.
The beach itself is beautiful, but it’s worth knowing that like most Croatian beaches this is not a sandy beach. It is a pebble/shingle beach, and the clear Croatian water is more of a rocky Adriatic experience. I’d definitely pack water shoes, particularly for children. However the lack of sand means the water will be the clearest and bluest you’ve seen in Europe!
There are also activities including water sports, tennis and other family-friendly options. The inflatable water park in the sea was a hit with my teenager although it should be noted this is an extra charge.
Another point to mention is although the sun loungers around the pool are free for guests the loungers and cabanas on the beach are for hire. We chose to hire a cabana on two of the days we were there ($35 for a full day) which felt like good value for us as we could spend the whole day at the beach/waterpark and relax there without having to go back to our accommodation in-between.
Accommodation at Eurocamp
One of the things I love about staying at Eurocamps is having the flexibility of a self-catering mobile home, with different accommodation options to suit different family sizes and budgets. You can choose from a range of Eurocamp mobile homes, including two- and three-bedroom options, with comfortable bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom facilities and your own outdoor decking area – perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or sitting outside in the warm Croatian evenings.
One of the biggest questions I’m asked when I share our Eurocamp holidays is ‘Does Eurocamp accommodation have air conditioning’ and I’m pleased to say many of the accommodation options also include air conditioning, which is particularly welcome during the hot summer months!!
Having your own kitchen means you can prepare breakfast, make packed lunches or cook dinner when you fancy, while still having the option to enjoy the restaurants and food outlets around the campsite. It’s a lovely balance between the freedom of a self-catering holiday and the facilities of a family-friendly holiday park. As a family we tend to eat most of our evening meals at our accommodation and treat ourselves to a couple of meals out during the week. Food and drink at Amadria Park Camping Trogir
One of the things that makes Amadria Park Trogir particularly easy for a family holiday is that you don’t need to leave the resort every time you’re hungry. There is a really good choice of restaurants, bars, snacks, ice cream and self-catering supplies on site, which is particularly useful if you’re travelling without a car.
We stayed in a Eurocamp mobile home, so having a kitchen meant we could make breakfast and some meals ourselves, but it’s also nice to have the option of wandering down to the beach and getting lunch or dinner without having to get everyone ready and head into town. We found the onsite supermarket great for essentials and morning bread and pastries, they also had a good selection of dairy free items. However we took an 8 minutes UBER to a larger supermarket in Trogir to stock up for the week.
The online site restaurant Restaurant Dalmacija serves Italian favourites including pizza, pasta, bruschetta and salads, making it an easy choice for a relaxed family lunch or dinner. It’s close to the beach too, so you can go straight from swimming to lunch without much effort. We ate here on our first day also mid week for an easy lunch but tended to be self catering mostly for our evening meals.
For something quick, there’s Burger House, a casual food stand close to the beach and promenade. It serves burgers, fries and drinks, so it’s ideal for those days when you don’t want a sit-down meal. This fast food option was being particularly handy with the kids who could swim, play, get hungry, grab some chips, and head straight back to the beach! There is no veggie option but they do also do mozzarella sticks.
And then there is SweetDreams Cake House, which had an amazing selection of ice cream, gelato and other treats, making it an obvious stop after a day in the sea or pool.
Beach bars and poolside drinks at Eurocamp Trogir Croatia
There are also several places to grab a drink without leaving the site. The Harbour and Lungo Mare beach bars sit along the promenade and beachfront, so you can stop for a coffee in the morning, a cold drink during the afternoon or a cocktail while watching the sun go down.
There’s also a Pool Bar, overlooking the pool and sea, I can highly recommend both the iced latte and the mojito! And lastly, if you’re looking for somewhere to watch sport, the Sport Bar & Game Room has big screens and serves drinks.
Self-catering at Eurocamp Trogir Croatia
Of course, one of the big advantages of staying in a Eurocamp mobile home is having your own kitchen.
There’s an on-site market/supermarket, so you can stock up on breakfast ingredients, drinks, snacks and things to cook in your mobile home without having to make a trip into Trogir. Amadria Park specifically highlights the on-site shopping facilities for fresh food and everyday essentials.
There’s also a bakery, which is particularly useful for picking up fresh bread and pastries for breakfast. Previous campsite information also lists the supermarket and bakery among the site’s facilities.
For us, this is another reason why this Eurocamp in Trogir Croatia works so well without a car. You don’t have to organise transport every time you need food. You can have breakfast at your mobile home, spend the morning swimming, grab lunch from Burger House or Trattoria Bella, have an ice cream from SweetDreams and then either cook dinner yourselves or head to one of the restaurants.
It gives you that lovely balance between having all the convenience of a holiday resort and still being able to enjoy the flexibility of a self-catering Eurocamp holiday.
And if you do want to eat somewhere different, Trogir and Seget Vranjica are close enough to explore by boat or taxi – so you aren’t limited to eating at the campsite just because you’re travelling without a car. For a car-free family holiday in Croatia, having this much choice right on your doorstep is a real bonus.
Exploring Trogir
Trogir is the obvious day trip from Amadria Park. The historic centre sits on a small island and is packed with medieval architecture, stone streets, restaurants and waterfront views. It’s the kind of place where you don’t really need an itinerary.
Get off the boat (or UBER) wander around, stop for an ice cream, find somewhere for lunch and explore the little streets. And because you can get there by boat or taxi rather than having to drive and park you can have a glass of wine with lunch.
What else is there to do locally / Seget Vranjica
Seget Vranjica is close to the campsite and gives you access to local restaurants, shops and a more traditional Croatian coastal atmosphere.Amadria Park is about 1km from the centre of Seget Vranjica, Which means you have somewhere to wander to when you fancy leaving the holiday park for a meal or drink without committing to a full day trip.
A few things to know before you book this Eurocamp Trogir Croatia
There are a few things I would definitely know before booking.
Firstly, the park is hilly. This is probably the biggest consideration if you’re travelling with a buggy, someone with mobility difficulties or very young children who don’t enjoy inclines. For our family (children of ages 14 and 10) we had no issue with the hill and I would say it took us a max of 8 minutes from our accommodation to the sea.
Secondly, some facilities and activities have additional charges. Beach loungers and some of the water activities are examples mentioned above. I felt like the cabanas at the beach were reasonable for the two days we ‘treated’ ourselves to one and the sun loungers around the pool were free and we always managed to find 4 together regardless of what time of day we arrived. We also felt like the aqua park was reasonable for the two times we used it (an hour is plenty in my opinion!)
And thirdly, the beach is pebbly rather than sandy – so put those water shoes in your suitcase!
Is Amadria Park Camping Trogir a good option for an easy Croatian holiday?
If you’re searching specifically for Eurocamp Croatia without a car, Amadria Park Camping Trogir is certainly a campsite worth investigating. You have a beautiful beachfront setting, an on-site supermarket, restaurants and activities, and you’re close enough to Trogir and Seget Vranjica that you aren’t completely isolated.
Most importantly, you have options when it comes to getting around. You can use UBER or BOLT easily, take the water taxi into Trogir or use local buses for longer journeys such as Split.
That means you can have the classic Eurocamp experience – your own mobile home, outdoor space, swimming, beaches and activities – without automatically needing to hire a car. For us, that’s a huge part of the appeal of Amadria Park Camping Trogir.
Croatia gives you the turquoise Adriatic, historic towns, islands and spectacular scenery, while this particular Eurocamp gives you a comfortable base from which to enjoy it. If you are looking for Eurocamp quiet sites then this is definitely one of them with a very family friendly atmosphere.
